The old white guy that turned orange made another bad pun, saying that Harris is going “balls to the Walz” with her VP pick.
On Tuesday, presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris selected two-time Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her vice presidential running mate. Walz is widely expected to help bolster support for the ticket in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, the so-called Midwestern “blue wall” states that have historically enjoyed Democratic support.
Republican nominee former President Donald J. Trump, reached at a campaign rally at the Bowlero Jupiter bowling alley in W. Palm Beach, FL, said it was apparent that Harris has chosen to “go balls to the Walz” with her vice presidential pick. He chuckled darkly. Trump chided Walz as “low IQ,” and said for that reason, the Midwestern governor was a natural selection for Harris. “It’s sad,” he murmured.
Harris and Walz are expected to meet up in Philadelphia today and then proceed to the seven battleground states to campaign over the next several days.
“Word leaked out that she was gonna choose Mayor Pete,” recalled Trump, referencing Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, “but then, that would have been a queer choice,” he said, making air quotes and smirking.
Walz, 60, is a 24-year veteran of the Army National Guard and was deployed both domestically and overseas. He is a 1989 graduate of Chadron State College, a fact with which Trump took issue. “Chadron is another Affirmative Action Institution,” Trump barked over the crashing of pins at the bowling alley. “It’s low IQ.”
The VP pick’s political career began in 2006, when he was elected to the House. “He knows crazy Nancy,” hissed Trump, referencing former Speaker Nancy Pelosi. “And he’s just as crazy as she is.”
Mr. Walz served in the house until 2019, when he was elected Minnesota governor. He has enacted a number of progressive legislative schemes, including the protection of abortion access and gender-affirming health care, legalizing recreational marijuana, restricting gun access, providing free school meals to all kids and expanding paid family leave.
Making an impromptu appearance at the bowling alley — where she was on track to bowl a 152 — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R. GA) offered her perspective on the newly minted Democratic ticket: “Harris,” sniped Greene, “is a ho; Walz is a pinko, and (second gentleman Doug) Emhoff is a bad Jew.” Muttering aloud about “space lasers,” Greene traipsed down the lane and picked up a 7-10 split.
“Walz is a socialist, a Communist, a fascist,” screamed Trump. “Free lunches for children! I can’t imagine where he got budget-breaking ideas like that! Just wait’ll JD gets hold of him,” vowed the ex-president. “He’ll rip him a new one!”
