A Reminder to Live

Why are these people rushing to work? We should work to live, not live for work. A reminder to live.

Imagine a world where the clock stops when you work.

If you’re a painter, painting for ten years wouldn’t age you a day.

But would you do it?

If you’re a scientist, inventing new things wouldn’t age you a day either. Would you do that?

Jet Li said, “Every job you’re doing, if you die, you will be replaced in a week. Don’t forget about your life.”

After a long day of work in your field, when you return home, you become yourself again.

The trend of working remotely and living off-grid is rising nowadays. People are realizing that work isn’t everything.

Imagine that every company and job is replaced by robots. What would happen? We would go back to the depression era, where people had nothing to live for. One should remember that happiness and the completeness of life don’t come from work.

A part of our life is meant for work. One should remember that work fulfils necessities; it is not the necessity of life.

Christopher McCandless said : “Careers were demeaning ‘twentieth-century inventions,’ more of a liability than an asset, and one would do fine without them.”

Take care of yourself.
