Comedy encourages dialogue on menopause
Sacramento Women Take Back the Night is partnering with the tony-award-winning show Menopause The Musical, coming to the Sacramento Community Center Theater on Saturday January 19, 2013. $5 of every ticket purchased using the code “WTBN” will go to support Sacramento Women Take Back the Night’s projects in the Sacramento area.
Menopause The Musical® features four women at a lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black lace bra AND memory loss, hot flashes, night sweats, not enough sex, too much sex and more. This musical parody, set to classic tunes from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s has left audiences all over the world laughing and cheering. The show has been touring worldwide for over 10 years.
Written by Jeanie Linders, this uplifting 90-minute production culminates with a salute to women who are experiencing “The Change.”
Menopause The Musical encourages a healthy dialogue about issues of aging and women’s health and provides a unique opportunity to raise awareness with female audiences.
